Preventing Postpartum Hemorrhage

Madre y Niño is seeking compassionate healthcare volunteers for a life-saving medical mission to the Petén region of Guatemala, March 7–20, 2027, focused on training local midwives in practical methods to recognize and treat postpartum hemorrhage—the leading cause of maternal death worldwide.
Who Can Volunteer?
We welcome medical professionals (doctors, nurses, pharmacists, dentists, etc.), medical students, translators, and anyone with a passion for helping others. No prior mission experience required—just a willingness to serve and learn.
Volunteer Responsibilities
- Participate in health clinics and outreach programs
- Assist with patient care and health education
- Support logistics and team coordination
- Engage with local communities to build relationships
